Unforgettable day at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park & Badlands!

On our Journey West, we stopped first at Niagara Falls then the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota!! This post will be about our wonderful day spent there!! It was an amazing day in North Dakota ๐Ÿ™‚

Bison herd, Amazing wildlife

one of the most impressive things we seen here on the scenic drive in the park was the herd of Bison seen infront of us then alongside us on the roadway!! What do you guys think? Can you imagine seeing the herd cross in front of you & along side of you & behind you while in your Motorhome!! What an amazing experience!! Iโ€™m glad they seemed to be in a good mood!! Hahaha

All I could think of was OMG they are so beautiful!! My son got a video of a momma & baby galloping across the road too!! So cute!! I have tons of pics of this experience & of them crossing the grassy area ๐Ÿ™‚ but most on my cannon camera!! I hope to post more pics & videos when we get home ๐Ÿ™‚

Badlands,

What are the badlands? Well according to Wikipedia, itโ€™s a โ€œtype of dry terrain where softer sedimentary rock & clay rich soil have been extensively erodedโ€, so you will see steep sloped ravines, buttes, mushroom like rock shaped mounds, flat topped hills with vertical sides ๐Ÿ™‚ little vegetation & water!!
Also from what I was reading because of the harsh conditions in this area, & lack of water the native Americans called it bad lands!! So there you have the history & an idea of what they might look likeโ€ฆ so here’s a picture for you!!

So visiting the Theodore National Park is definitely one to put on your vacation bucket list!! It’s been fun to meet other families taking road trips this summer ๐Ÿ™‚

Next stop along the blogging universe to share with you!! The Idaho hot springs!! What an amazing experience!!! Stay tuned ๐Ÿ™‚
