Beautiful Spring Nor’easter, April in Maine!

Goodmorning everyone!! Hello snow!!!! I think this Nor’easter is the most beautiful yet!! I just love it, When I can look out my patio doors and windows and take in this winter wonderland, it’s o so breathtaking!! This one is a sticky heavy snow type, so everything is covered with snow!! So pretty!! We’re expecting a foot to a foot and a half of snow 🙂  & in the mountains even more!! Yeee hawww!! I think we got about almost a foot already!! Pretty!!

The kids have school remotely today, but over 600 thousand Mainers are without power including us!! So grateful for our generator!! Thanks hun for putting that on!! I would not be able to do it on my own!! But we’ll see how much schooling the kids get in today with the power outages & lines down!! It will be a great day to play in the snow, maybe make a snowman & drink hot chocolate!! ❄️☃️

Preparing for the storm

Part of the fun is preparing for a snow storm!!  I thought maybe I was just getting alittle anxious but in reality it’s always good to be prepared for these snow storms!! We live in an area with lots of trees and we’ve lost electricity for five days before,  so it’s just good to be prepared for the unexpected!! Looks like others thought the same way, as the store was super busy 🙂 We live on the outskirts of town & do not have City water, or water provided by the city 🙂 although we have a generator, folks that don’t would also lose their ability to drink water if they also have a well & need it pumped!! So some people go to the store to buy drinking water to have on hand 🙂

Yesterday I made sure to get to the grocery store just in case we need canned goods and to make sure we have food in the fridge!! My son needed conditioner for his hair, he was allergic to it though! Oops! I guess be also needs unscented like I do!!

I also like to make sure I’ve kept up with the laundry, because our generator powers most appliances but it’s not recommended to use dishwasher and/ or laundry machines 🙂 there’s just not enough power for those & can actually cause damage to these & other high powered appliances:)

When I first moved here, this was such a foreign way to me but now its what I’m used to 🙂 We’ve  lived on the outskirts of town now for about 6, it’s even more exciting 🙂 We lose power almost most storms!! hahaha!! So that’s little about Maine living 🙂

Have a wonderful day & enjoy the snow!!!
