by Hello and if you’re new to my blog, I’m known as the MaineChica and i love entertaining 🙂 Living in the beautiful state of Maine its easy to fall in love with the outdoors and the beautiful nature scenery so my blogs includes this as well and.. My blog is also about designing fun times, designing spaces and creativity, & traveling to fun places and local Maine places… ok its really a life blog then.. lol!! 🙂 in it i share some of our crazy adventures and ideas to have fun…this post in particular is about why i love entertaining, hope it inspires your inner host or hostess!!!
What is your love language? Could it be buying gifts, physical touch, words of affection, quality time, or acts of service. well my love language is inviting you to my house for a dinner party or to come over to get together and most always food is involved! Food is always comforting, delightful, and I also feel brings people together!! In showing my care and concern I hope people feel loved by it, its something we try even despite others maybe not accepting it sometimes!!
I find that coming together over a meal helps people feel loved!! I also appreciate it when people reciprocate or accept my hospitality by coming to the party, or bringing a dish to contribute to a large party or accepting a gift!! I hope to one day share my passion thru coffee and maybe burritos.. we will see.. but for now i’m enjoying life to the full as much as i can (ok, its my resolution for the year) and hope you can live your life to the fullest too!!!
Why yes most parties need entertainment!! So what to do?? I love including card games, karaoke, or group games like pictionary that involve teams having fun and laughing!! My heart bubbles and is full of happiness and I feel fulfilled when there’s laughing, because it means my guests are having a good time and the party is a hit and not a flop. Something that has also helped me to overcome the fear that my party wont be fun or overly worry about everyone having a good time is remembering that you can create the opportunity for fun but its up to each individual to make that happen.. so its up to each guest to have a good time 🙂 So choose wisely too, add those individuals that are like you too..So you keep planning and having fun, its contagious…
So love languages could be different for each partner in a relationship and it can be different for everyone and i feel we understand that not everyone is outgoing however i especially love friends that love parties and having fun as much as i do!!! My next post will be about my favorite home gadget & on another post beautiful DIY wedding and helping the mother of the bride this summer, it was amazing, also make sure to read the super bowl party blog post.
