Im just going to say, from a momma that doesn’t get away by herself for the night at all… I found myself loving the experience and enjoyed finding rest and relaxation at the Cedar Tree Hotel, it was such a special treat!! The Cedar Tree Hotel was  such a lovely and cultural experience!! It also happens to be pretty close to the Portland Oregon International Airport, so it was a respite for my travels as well, a win win as i was returning home from visiting family.  So i recommend the Rest and Relaxation I found at the Cedar Tree Hotel, in Hillsboro, Oregon!! Here are a few reasons I found myself loving the experience!!

Atmosphere

The atmosphere in itself is pretty amazing, it’s a Japanese inspired Hotel!! It is a truly amazing experience especially because i just accidently stumbled upon this… complete with a Zen vibe, and to my surprise this experience has inspired in me appreciation of the world of simplicity, natural wood and materials and using living things as decorations..such as their Koi fish…This Hotel makes you feel like you’re in Japan!! I love it!! Except the closest i’ve been to it is visiting the Japanese Gardens in Portland Oregon.. thats beautiful too. This Hotel incorporates all the elements of that Garden and includes the calm and clean in the Hotel rooms. Here are a few pictures….

Koi Fish

I loved their Koi Fish in the pool right in the lobby!! My only experience with this type of fish was while visiting the Oriental Garden nearby in Portland, Oregon!! Interestingly, these colored carp are kept for mostly decorative purpose in Ponds and water gardens so here at the Cedar Tree Hotel, it isn’t any different… and it is so pretty to see these.. 

Onsen Baths

ummm, I did not know anything about these baths.. when i looked online for a hotel to stay at, i was merely looking for one with a hot tub but to my surprise this hotel doesn’t have a hot tub but an Onsen!! Traditional Onsens in Japan are hot springs and establishments are built around them!  

This Hotel prides itself in incorporating the Japanese culture and does an excellent job at it!! Honestly i felt like i was in Japan because this was so new to me!! Lol!!  It’s is also customary in Japan for Men and Women to bathe without clothing and not bathe together unless in a private setting or specific establishment allowed circumstance!  So here at the Cedar Tree Hotel Men and women don’t bathe in the same Onsen.. which is a big hot tub and swim suits are not required either.. wowza!! 

I thoroughly enjoyed this drink I had after visiting the Onsen, It was so relaxing and yes i wore my bathing suit!! I highly believe in Modesty 🙂  It isn’t recommended to drink alcohol before getting into the Onsen, it causes dehydration and can cause other health problems….

So, if you’re ever near hillsboro which is near Portland Oregon I totally recommend the Hotel rooms at Cedar Tree Hotel!! It’s truly a unique experience, I loved the beds here and the Ambiance, The Koi fish and think you’ll really enjoy the experience!!
