Hello there, seems like forever ago that I’ve written!! Life has gotten so busy!!! I’m sure you are too!! However it hasnt been all work for us, We recently took a mini vacation to Yogi Bears Jellystone Park in Ashland, New Hampshire….. it’s always good to get away sometimes!! We had a lot of fun, and wanted to share the experience with you all!!
I have a silly saying for that…. would you like to hear it? Some of our friends our going to Yellowstone and others The Grand Canyon, we go to Jellystone!! 😂 Ha! But really Before kids we had the privileged to visit the Grand Canyon, it was beautiful!! We hiked it, it was like hiking a mountain backward! wed love to go to Yellowstone one day, but as for Jellystone we had a really fun time!! It’s a great place for families, ams if you’re new to camping it’s a great way to get a taste of what it’s like without the tent…
It was our first time here, there was alot of fun things to do there like biking, badminton, swimming, and just hanging out by the fire, and eating….lots of eating…We were in for a big surprise on this trip, we didn’t know we would be with a group of about 60+ Friends, it was awesome!! My kiddos loved making new friends, and loved hanging out and running around!!
Resort guests have nets available and paved roads to ride on but bicycles and badminton sets and balls should be brought along this trip, they are not provided 🙂
We happen to go during camper Appreciation week, so we had a free hot dog meal when we arrived, a dj dance party with cookies and punch the next day and pics available with Cindy Bear and other fun activities!!
Rustic Cabin
We really enjoying camping in our rustic cabin!! We had the conveniences of home like electricity, and even beds and a tv with cable! What!! Yes, A full, and twin bunk beds!! Surprisingly they were very comfy! We had to bring our own bedding of course… but that was ok… we didn’t have a kitchen or bathroom but there were bathrooms and showers close by!! They were pretty cute weren’t they?? Some of our friends stayed in the deluxe cabins, those were nice because they housed up to 8 people, had a loft, bathroom, and small kitchen.. wow!! What I liked about the cabins we stayed at was that they were nestled in the woods and alittle more private!!
I have to say my only complaint was the cold, very cold water in the shower that made me almost only take a sponge bath, but after a very long time running the water I surprisingly a flood of warm water arrived!! So that morning I indulged in a warm shower too!! So beware…..
Camp stove
I loved using my camp stove in my make shift outdoor kitchen, it was my first time putting one together and starting it on my own!! Yay!!
My Pancakes came out delicious!! I made my mix at home and brought it along!! Just added eggs, milk and oil at our site…then mixed all the ingredients together …and waaaalaaa!!
I need to get used to stove temps alittle better I guess because my pancakes even look like camp pancakes….lol! but they was still very yummy, especially topped with Maine Maple Syrup!! On This particular morning we had turkey sausages/regular sausages alongside our pancakes and coffee!! Yummy!!
Let the good times roll!!
So we had a fabulous time getting together with friends, loved our rustic cabin, riding bikes with our kids and enjoyed the woods!! We would definitely go back to Jellystone…and recommend it for other families!! New Hampshire was so beautiful, the mountainous areas we came across and were surrounded by looked even greener than Maine,,.so gorgeous!!
Thanks for visiting, hope you’re enjoying your outdoor nature adventures wherever you may be found!! Have a wonderful day!!!
