Discovering the Beehive trail in Fall at Acadia National Park

Get ready for an adventure as you discover the Beehive trail in Fall at Acadia National Park, we really enjoyed the views along the trial,and even on the roads along the way to get there, we were in peak season here in Maine, it was outstanding!! So if you are looking for a beautiful hike, this trail is super fun and I recommend!!

Stunning Scenery

The views especially during the fall are stunning!! Something special about Acadia is that its where the mountains meet the Ocean so when you climb the beehive trail you get incredible panoramic views of Mt. Desert Island. Its a 1.4 mile loop trail

Challenging Climb

The Beehive trail is actually not as scary as it looks in the pictures however the rungs and the exposed ledges make it challenging for some. The rock climbing makes it thrilling for others. I have to be honest i was abit nervous for my kids to make the trail.they are 19 and 15 but my son was recovering from an injury to his chest but he was fine, but with good shoes and steady footing you’ll be fine!! I was impressed to see even older ones coming down the mountain! yay. so if you’re in pretty ok shape you can do this trail!!

Capture the Moment

So if my 15 year old daughter and my friend Christine can do it, you can enjoy this trail too!! If you are relatively healthy can climb rocks you got this!! 

We drove down in an afternoon and returned home that evening!! Although it was a quick drive i would recommend a full day trip and taking the loop road to enjoy the full scope of the foliage!! If you can spend time at Thunderhole, ride your bike on the carriage roads and book a car pass on Cadillac Mountain that would be wonderful!! Acadia National Park has so much natural beauty, and ocean views, mountain views and hiking to offer!! I totally recommend Acadia anytime but especially in the fall!! Its so pretty!!
