Going Away Bash!!
One of my favorite things to do is design fun parties!! Everything from the Backdrop Focal point, food and decor!! One of my favorite parties types are ultimate food board parties, & one of my favorite kinds are Going away parties, i feel like they are so much fun!! Parting is sweet sorrow, yes even though we will miss our friends dearly!! However It’s fun to celebrate a new beginning and share memories of time spent together :).
For this party we invited our guests to bring food boards to celebrate this special occasion!! With help from two of my special friends we also added bbq & regular pulled pork and Mac & cheese with chicken and Brocolli, I made beans, rice and a mexi chicken dish to add to the evening!! . 🙂 Everything came out perfect!! The food boards added a colorful & beautiful vibe to our table scape!!
Decorations;
We had less than 1 hour to decorate, this is not enough time for me!! I find my stress and anxiety level really scream HELP…I had some balloons already inflated but sadly I didn’t have the correct supplies to put together the garland, however it still looked cute!! A friend and my daughter helped too!! THANKS so much!! We made a special banner for our friends, placed it behind a vintage map!! I thought it would be cute!! Lol!!
Yellow Table cloths and Mylar Balloons
One of My favorite of this party decor was the bright yellow tablecloths!! It Came in a 10 pack & I recommend them!! The next show stopper was the streamers/ balloon hack, probably my all time favorite for this party!! It really made the place pop! If you haven’t tried this for your parties, it’s a must!! All you need is glue dots, balloon and streamers & waaa laaaaa!! So cute!! No expensive helium needed!! Lol!! If we had more time we would have filled the entire area but we couldn’t!! Lol!! But for your party, you most certainly could!! Lol😆
In conclusion
Such a fun time, just hanging out! Listening to music and playing cards & taking pics!!
O and about it being a surprise, we invited the guests of honor 15 mins earlier 🙂 and everyone else after that!! We played music and the guests danced in to happy by Pharrell Williams 🙂 it sure was a happy time!!
