One of the things I absolutely love sharing with you is pictures of snowy winter scenes, I think they are so beautiful!!!  I especially love taking them because I get to enjoy being outdoors!! Love it!! I must say it was -13 with windchills the day I took these, so I may have rushed alittle…it was wicked cold!!  Yikes but it made me so happy to indulge in the beauty of winter, the sun was amazingly bright and almost hazy at the same time!!  I loved the reflection of the shiny covered snow that gave off a special sheen!!

The pictures give you a sense of being in the arctic tundra, with little life and cold temp doesn’t it?? .. when I was actually next to a lake!! Interestingly in the tundra biomes arctic or Alpine, only hearty shrubs and vegetation, also animals that withstand harsh weather live there!! Maine can sometimes feel like a tundra  environment especially during our harsh winters!! Just like those animals in the tundra, we are hearty and adaptable, we survive don’t we 🙂  The other thing about Maine is we enjoy beautiful summers too!! Don’t you just love the beaches and fun activities in the summer? So for now,  Enjoy the beauty around you friends as we adapt to whatever weather comes our way!!  🙂
