So both you and I have a lot of work ahead of us but never fear, just like I am able, you can too… here are a few ideas about party planning from my many parties I’ve planned.. hope it helps!!
Music..
Select a fun playlist… choose a variety of music to advance with the party like soft music for when guests are arriving, music for dinner and dance type music for after……like cafe style…, easy listening, and dance… etc..this sets the tone of your party.. enjoy.. if you can hire a DJ!! Or a friend that can help you…
Graduation Party Decorations
So this is the fun part of the party, what will you use for decorations? What are your graduates school colors? Will you incorporate it into your party decorations? The most important part is what will make your grad happy… is he/she more into a favorite color or theme?? My niece had a Hawaiian luau themed graduation party, that was super fun…
Graduation Balloons..
balloons are a wonderful way to make your party festive and fun, choose either free standing helium filled or make a balloon garland, both are wonderful and pretty…
backdrop fun: photo backdrops I feel are a must for any party…here’s a few easy ideas 🙂
Make you’re party extra special with this look, love it!! Choose blue or gold… or these rose gold ones!!

Graduation Party Menu ideas:
This is probably the other thing I enjoy doing the most and get excited about…combining and planning how to feed a crowd of friends like 50 or more on a budget!! I usually make everything from scratch except pizza…but you can make that yourself too… for me it’s just easier to order!!
Cooking from scratch can be overwhelming at times but if you plan and even ask for help… it’s a no sweat way to have a delicious meal at your next get together…or party and not break the bank…
Here are a few of my delicious but inexpensive menu ideas!! As I get more time,I’ll share some of my recipes with you…
pizza and salad bar...with chips... order depending on the amount of guests and pick up bags of salad packages… veggies and assorted… dressings and assorted chips…
Taco bar with beans and rice… can’t forget salsa and wonderful toppings..
meat & potato w coleslaw and baked beans .. grilled chicken, beef or fish.. any combo with baked potatoes, salad and or coleslaw and baked beans!! BBQ is a wonderful accompaniment to any of your meat choices…. yummy!!
pasta and salad party.. pasta and choice of sauce… tomate based, Alfredo… veggie…, meatballs or chicken in one of the sauces is delicious too…
hot dog and hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw & assorted chips.. I love serving individual bags of chips! Not only sanitary but also cute alongside your meal! Don’t forget the condiments…
Drinks… it’s always Great to have water, lemonade, iced tea…soda including ginger ale…if you’re doing an outdoor bbq… Gatorade is wonderful and can help hydrate your guests on a hot day..
coffee.. I love having coffee at parties.. goes great with cake!! Is it Too hot out,,, no worries make iced coffee!! Don’t forget the ice and condiments
cake, cupcake and brownies,,, I recommend brownies,,, they are so easy to make… order a special cake and compliment with cupcakes, and brownies!! Fun and easy.. pick up a few boxes of brownie mix and walllaaa… easy and inexpensive,, you can do the same with cupcakes if you decide…
If you’re e having a larger crowd, it’s ok to combine menus.. I did a pizza, pasta and salad food themed before, that worked great!!
Hope you have a wonderful time planning your party and enjoy the special moments with your graduate!!
