Hola Guys, how are ya!! I hope you’re having an amazing winter and staying warm and healthy!! On Today’s Post ill    share my day skiing on SugarLoaf Mountain with you all, I enjoyed this experience and will share some highlights!!  My son and I visited Sugarloaf for the first time without the rest of the family,  sadly my daughter and hubby have been sick all week!! So as they kept each other company we enjoyed the day!   Did you know Christmas Day is actually a fun day to get on the slopes?? We saw several of our friends there and enjoyed hanging with some of our  close ones!! lol!  Heres a look at what you can expect there if you visit the Loaf!!

SugarLoaf

Check out the Cute & quaint Village!! What do you think?

Loving the Shuttle service

Did you know that Sugar loaf has s wonderful shuttle service!! Often when we think of Parking, we if you’re like me park close to where ever you visit so you dont have to trek everything you bring or buy for miles away??? Well, the parking at Sugarloaf is pretty interesting, like i mentioned weve never been here before so i didn’t know what to expect!! Well let me tell you, they have a fabulous shuttle service that will bring you to the Lodge and lift areas!! What??? ya!!  You just have to park in any of their parking lots and the shuttles run non stop… so they come by every little while.. We parked in the D parking lot, I started walking towards the lodge when i realized this was too difficult for me, so i asked around and found out that the shuttles come around.. So I waited just a little bit and got a ride to the lodge, where i picked up our GoCards! If you have your GoCards already, you just have to reload online!!

As I made my way to the lodge, I found out that bags can be placed anywhere along the wall, just not on the tables!! Got it!!

Falling & not skiing, Bucksaw is for me

Something i noticed about Sugarloaf is that its a ginormous mountain!!  So I also found out that the lifts at the lodge are mostly intermediate skiing (besides the bunny slope and another short slope with a lift)..that wasnt for me this time, and it could have been due to the conditions that day!!  It seemed like an intermediate skiing location at the main lodge because The runs were very long and steep!! I am mostly a green trial ski girl, & mostly a beginner,  so for me the blue was quite intense…. i felt like a was falling not skiing down the mountain!! Gratefully the snow was fluffy so it didnt’ hurt too bad! Another thing that could have influenced my sad first run was that i didn’t assure that my poles were packed in the car!! So there i was tumbling and what seemed to be rolling at times down the mountain without poles!! lol!

West Mountain

However, the West Mountain side features Bucksaw Express a new high speed detachable quad with more green trails, my favorite color on the slopes!! I took the shuttle again to that side of the mountain!! The shuttle service was amazing, all the drivers were awesome too, so kind and helpful!!

It was more skiiable for me!! yay & a bonus of going alone was meeting some cool fellas on the chairlift!!  Hola Colby and Cundy!! My friends were on the other side of the mountain which was fine, i really wanted to ski at a lower level than them to practice my skills!! lol!! I couldn’t wait to tell my friend Jason that i only fell once going down the mountain, yay!!

Margarita @ Widowmaker

Drinking a Margarita at a restaurant called Widowmaker on the Mountain was delightful!!

Eating lunch & drinks and laughs was delightful too, truly made for a pleasant and memorable experience!

So if youre looking for a place to hang out and go skiing, heres what you can expect here, & know that youll find me at Bucksaw Express so maybe you’ll join me there too someday!! lol!
