How to make a Simply delicious & Delightful Angel hair spaghetti & lentil meal!!

I’m so excited to share this simple recipe with you!! It’s something I put together quickly but oh it was so delicious!!!

Easy Angel hair & Lentil Ingredients

  • 3oz Angel Hair no. 9
  • 3oz Whole grain whole wheat thin spaghetti
What I do is I take about a handful from each box. When I boil the water, I add whole wheat spaghetti first for 6 mins then for the last 2 mins I add the Angel hair no.9 then add a dash of salt to the pasta.
    For sauce:
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1/2 diced onion
  • 1 dry pint Sweet grape tomatoes cut in half. I added one more tomato because the container wasn’t full
  • 3 Tbsp Olive oil plus more if needed at the end
  • 3 tbsp wine- I used Carlo Rossi Burgundy
  • 1-3 tsp Italian seasonings
  • 1-3 tsp dried Parsley,
  •  Salt & Pepper to taste

On medium low heat, sauté garlic and onion in the olive oil for apx 5 mins or til onion is translucent .. add a 1/2 cup water, then wine for 5 or so mins. Add cooked pasta the toss together, then add Italian seasonings, dried parsley & pepper 🙂 If desired add another dash of olive oil 🙂
Serve with your favorite meat, Parmesan cheese or mozzarella, or plant based protein like Lentils!! So delicious!!

For an easy way to make Lentils check out this end of the post; Veggie Pasta with cabbage & either chicken or lentils and a side salad!!

Hope you enjoy this simple dinner!! I heard Italians cook with few ingredients 🙂 So I had to try this just not only because my Italian friend encourage it but also because I didn’t have any jarred sauce in the house nor did I have crushed tomatoes to make a simple sauce like Mama Marissa taught me!! 😂  check out this story cooking with her for other ideas 🙂  Authentic Italian cooking with Marissa, fun and frugal tips 🙂

But the Angel hair w lentils will be a meal I’ll  be making again 🙂 hope you like it too!!
Hope everyone enjoyed another gorgeous day here in Maine or wherever you may be found  🙂 🥰🥰😘😘 Bon apetite!!
